Membership Types

There are three different membership types in GovTEAMS OFFICIAL. Each membership type has a different level of access to the service.

Type Who is it for? Allocated an Office 365 licence
Full Access Member Suitable for APS employees* ✔️
Guest Membership Suitable for external stakeholders working with government who require limited access 
Partner Membership Suitable for external stakeholders working with government who require full access  ✔️

*If you’re a contractor with an Australian Public Service email address you can also register as a full access member.

State government employees can apply for a State Owner Membership, which is similar to a Full Access Membership.

GovTEAMS PROTECTED Membership Types 

GovTEAMS PROTECTED shares the same functions and purpose as GovTEAMS OFFICIAL, except that it's designed for collaborating on projects that have PROTECTED classification. It is a secure environment, designed specifically for hosting sensitive content and supports the sharing of information that has been classified as PROTECTED.
